Image to PDF Converter (DotPDF) — Android

Last updated: 16 July 2026

The short version. Your documents and photos never leave your device — every PDF operation runs locally on your phone. We don’t ask for your name, email, or any account. We do use an anonymous ID to remember a Pro purchase, and the free version shows ads.

1. Who we are

This app is published by Dot Cart Inc. If you have any question about this policy, email dot.cart.inc@gmail.com.

2. Your files stay on your device

All processing — converting images to PDF, merging, compressing, splitting, extracting pages and adding watermarks — happens entirely on your device. Your documents, images, and any password you set on a PDF are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Passwords are held in memory only for as long as the operation takes and are never stored or transmitted.

You choose where finished PDFs are saved. The app suggests your Downloads folder and asks you to confirm it once, using Android’s Storage Access Framework. The app can only read and write inside the folder you pick — it has no general access to your storage, and we can’t see what you save there.

3. What we do collect

We don’t collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contacts. We do process the following:

DataWhyWho receives it
An anonymous ID (a random identifier created for your install) So we can remember that you bought Pro, without you needing an account Google Firebase
Purchase data: purchase token, product ID, subscription status and expiry date To verify your purchase is genuine and keep Pro unlocked Google Play, Google Firebase
Advertising and device identifiers Only in the free version, to show ads Google AdMob

We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs of any kind.

4. Purchases

Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime unlock. Payment is handled by Google Play — we never see your card details. When you buy, your device sends the purchase token to our server, which checks it directly with the Google Play Developer API and records whether your install is entitled to Pro. Google Play also notifies our server about renewals, cancellations, and refunds so Pro stays accurate.

Subscriptions are managed in Google Play; see Google’s terms for renewal and refunds.

5. Advertising

The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (including your Android Advertising ID) and use them to select and measure ads. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings.

You can turn ads off entirely by purchasing Pro. Pro users see no ads.

6. Permissions we ask for

The app requests no other permissions. It does not use your camera, microphone, location, or contacts.

7. Keeping and deleting data

The only record we hold is the anonymous ID and its purchase status. Uninstalling the app removes all local files and settings. To have the anonymous purchase record deleted, email dot.cart.inc@gmail.com — note that deleting it may also remove your ability to restore a Pro purchase.

8. Children

This app isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes

If this policy changes we’ll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
